Easter Thoughts

Easter is upon us, and I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you with a couple of thoughts.  I don’t know what your plans are for this holiday, but I hope that you will connect in some way with a local service celebrating the season and day.  I find that Easter is a holiday completely about Hope, and what can happen when you engage Hope in the seemingly impossible things of this life.

For Christians, Easter is the matchless remedy for all forms of hopelessness. It is the short answer to those who ask about the reason for our hope (1 Peter 3:15… If someone asks you about your Christian hope, always be ready to explain it. NLT). Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that is in you….). The resurrection functions as a guarantee for our hope that God will one day completely satisfy the deepest longings of our hearts.

How is your hope meter today?  Are the things of this life weighing you down in such a way as hope is growing dim?  I would encourage you to hang on….there is always hope to be found.  Even in the smallest amount, hope can begin the repair work of your heart.

Your issues are important to me; your life matters. You can count on it.

Praying for you this Easter. Blessings, Susie
