Journey to Hope Scheduling

Hello everyone.  I wanted to post some schedule adjustments occurring over the next few days, just FYI.  I will be attending the AACC World Conference the end of this week (September 29-October 1) in Nashville.  I will be checking email and voice mail during that time, if you need to reach me.

I will also be attending my next doctoral class at Liberty from October 3-7.  My class runs from 8-4:30 Monday-Friday, so if you need to reach me, I will be checking voice mail and email at the end of each class day.

I will be counseling on Saturday morning, October 8th from 9-1, and I will resume my normal counseling schedule on Monday, October 10th.

Please be aware that your situation and concerns are very important to me, and I will look forward to resuming our work upon my return.

Blessings,

Susie

Flag of Honor for 9/11

I found this amazing flag yesterday called the Flag of Honor,

and it lists all the people who lost their lives on 9/11.

I have included a picture of it.

I  find myself incredibly sad as I remember that day, and how it changed all of us. I will never forget.

Never.

Praying for you as you remember

Susie

Happy Labor Day!

Just a note to remind everyone that Journey to Hope Counseling will be closed for Labor Day.  It is our prayer that you will be able to have today off as well, to prepare for the new season of school, commuting, traffic, and all the lovely challenges that tomorrow will bring.  You are in our thoughts and prayers today.  We are thankful for the hard work that each of you do, whether is in the workforce or the homeforce!  You are of great value. Have a wonderful day today.

In Christ, Susie

Natural Disaster Week at Journey to Hope in Fredericksburg!

What a week in the life of our area, earthquakes and power outages and hurricanes and all kinds of natural challenges!  The earthquake on August 23rd caused quite a bit of shaking in the Journey to Hope building, but we are fine and the building is fine.  I had some thoughts running inside my head about why in the world we wanted to rent space in a building built in 1877?!?  God is good, however, and the building once again stood the test of time.  Although it has been a challenging week for many of you, remember always that God is greater than any natural challenge.

Praying for you today. You can count on it.

In Christ, Susie

Happy 4th of July!  The Journey to Hope Counseling office will be closed today, July 4, 2011, for the 4th  of July holiday, but we will reopen tomorrow and will have normal operating hours for the rest of the week.

I really like what Lyndon B. Johnson had to say about freedom, and I claim it for this 4th of July:

"This, then, is the state of the union: free and restless, growing and full of hope. So it was in the beginning. So it shall always be, while God is willing, and we are strong enough to keep the faith."

Praying for you today, that you will cherish your freedom, you wil keep your hope, and you will keep your faith in God.

Much love in Christ, Susie
